KORLA PANDIT (1921-1998)

BELOVED HUSBAND OF BERYL PANDIT

BELOVED FATHER OF SHARI AND KORAM JOHN PANDIT

Korla Pandit (nee John Roland Redd, aka Juan Rolando), age 77, passed away in Petaluma Valley Hospital, Petaluma, CA, of myocardial infarction/coronary disease on October 2, 1998.

Korla Pandit was born to Doshia and Ernest Redd in St. Louis, MO, September 16, 1921. There were Family prayers, but no formal services were held. Korla's remains were cremated and returned to his Family. Korla Pandit was beloved husband of Beryl June DeBeeson Pandit, beloved father of Shari Pandit and Koram John Pandit.

Korla Pandit pioneered early television with Klaus Landsberg/KTLA-TV and Louis Snader Telescriptions with his organ and piano all-music show. He was responsible for several innovations in keyboard and organ playing techniques and was the first musician ever to play these two instruments at the same time. He left an enormous body of work behind for his fans to treasure. He was truly the Godfather of Exotica.

BERYL PANDIT (1920-2005)

BELOVED WIDOW OF KORLA PANDIT

BELOVED MOTHER OF SHARI AND KORAM JOHN PANDIT

Beryl June Pandit, age 85, passed away in Sechelt, B.C. Canada hospital of natural causes (heart failure) on December 31, 2005.

Beryl Pandit was born to Lillian and George Beeson (later DeBeeson) in Bremerton, WA on February 26,1920. A memorial services was held in Sechelt on January 7 2006, with Beryl's remains being cremated and returned to her Family. Deceased was the widow of Exotica Godfather Korla Pandit.

Beryl Pandit was the creator of the Korla Pandit mystique, along with her husband, and was an integral part of the Korla Pandit television shows and Telescriptions in both artistic and directorial capacities.

SHARI PANDIT (1948-2000)

BELOVED SON OF BERYL AND KORLA PANDIT

Shari Pandit, age 52, passed away in Sechelt, B.C. Canada Hospital of Hepatitis C on December 31, 2000.

Shari Pandit was born Juan Jose Rolando to Beryl and Juan Rolando (before he became Korla Pandit) in Los Angeles, CA on August 5, 1948. A memorial service was held. Shari's remains were cremated and returned to his Family. Deceased was the elder son of Beryl and Korla Pandit.

Shari Pandit was a revered musician, composer and member of several rock bands including The Muffs and Blacksnake. Parents and elder son are survived by younger son Koram John Pandit. age 52, a resident of Santa Rosa, CA and Sechelt, B.C. Canada.

VERNE LANGDON (1941-2011)

Verne Landon, age 69, passed away in his sleep on January 1, 2011.

Verne was not only a well-known cult monster mask maker, he was also the creator of the legendary “An Evening With Boris Karloff” album and produced over 30 albums (including his own and an album for Korla Pandit) in his long career, he was also a very close friend of Korla Pandit, having befriended him in his early years.

As a tribute to his friend, Verne created these Korla Pandit website, which he kept updated over many years.
